#3 Wisconsin 72, #5 Ohio State 69 (Final)

Eh, I think anybody that realistically expected this team to be able to compete with the big boys in the first half of the season had expectations that were a little too high...or at least higher than mine. We've been over ranked all season, and I even snickered a little when we hit #1 a few weeks back. Yes, we have a ways to go, but remember that most of the core of this team was in high school 8 months ago. It obviously doesn't help that this loss comes on the heels of the most embarassing loss of the Tressel era, but brighter days are definately ahead for this team.

Also the seemingly foregone conclusion that Oden is a one-and-done player might not be so accurate. Like Buckguy said, if you put a big body or two on him and his effectiveness is greatly diminished. Yes he's still not 100%, but he still needs work.

One thing I've noticed is that OSU tends to try to shoot through bad stretches from 3 instead of trying to work the ball down low. They end up going one shot and one instead of maintaining possession....

If they aren't shooting well, teams collapse so quickly on Oden that he is going to have his own issues from time to time.

We almost gave it away with missed free throws. That was pathetic. Good on the Buckeyes for taking advantage though. They had a chance to tie at the end, but they hit plenty up until that point. This should have been a double digit win for the Badgers, so that finish sours it a bit.

Good game guys:cheers:
