A win in this game would be a real nice feeling right now.
i hope so... but even one day's separation between basketball games wouldn't be too short to quell the pain from yesterday. i guess i'll just play the ohio state-illinois game continuously until tonight's game and then, hopefully, play that game continuously until saturday's game against tennessee.

what i can guarantee, though, is that the crowd for the home against tennessee will be as loud and rambunctious as any we've had in a long, long time. saturday will be catharsis, however partial. i just don't think i can bear a loss so quickly to another sec team, especially one on our court. i plead that our team, our coaches, and our crowd won't allow it.

After the football game last night, I kept thinking...at least now we can all throw our Buckeye energy into basketball. These guys are good and fun to watch. I hope our fan base really supports these guys and that the team provides us with some newfound excitement. If this team starts to gel and put it all together...look out. Uh oh...there's those high expectations coming out again. Isn't it great to be a Buckeye fan and always expect to win? Gotta love it.

Well, looks like we're going to convert to a basketball school now after last night. Time to go win the NC in b-ball. :osu:

haha, exactly what I was thinking. Last night after the loss the 1st thing I did after coming back to my dorm was start playing March Madness on my xbox again lol. The only problem is that if we lose to Wisconson, which very well may happen, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.

Well, then we'll be a women's b-ball school. :wink2: And if that doesn't work out, we'll move on to the next sport we're good at.

Lets get back on topic which is a huge road game tonight for this young team....

Three things I want to see....

1. Improved perimeter defense.
2. Improved ball movement.
3. Improved team rebounding.

If we do these three things, we have a chance to get it done, if we do not....it could be another ugly loss on the road.

Lets hope this team has learned from it's previous road tests at UNC and Florida. Illinois was a nice win, but with all due respect, they are not on the level of UNC, Florida or Wisconsin.

The key match-up for Ohio State will be controlling Tucker.....we need to try to contain him. Wisky has a ton of bodies to throw at Oden and we will most likely not get any calls up there (as usual) so Oden's ability to stay out of foul trouble will by KEY.

If we play sound defense, display good shot selection and be physical, we have a chance.

I really like the fact that we have already played 2 top teams on the road. It could be the edge we need. Win or lose, it really builds our chances come tourney time playing another road game against a top 5 team. A Big 10 title would be great, but we've seen how unfullfilling that can be. I think this team is more built for improving through the season them making a run at the bigger prize.

I think that if we can keep Tucker in the 15-20 pt range and force him to take some tough shots I think we will be ok, b/c it will be hard for the rest of the team to score a whole lot unless they are knocking down their 3's.
