Great game. Two really good teams. If we want to make a deep run we have to be more disciplined on D and more balanced on O. When you are undersized like we are you have to get a body on a guy and box out. Not enough of that today along with closing out under more control on the perimeter. Offense...what a game by DWash! Kid loves the moment. Need some more contribution though...Wash, EJ and CJ were pretty much it today.

Still a fun game...gotta rebound for our next one and get back in the W column!

Illinois is a legit final-4 threat as well. Final home game against the Illini on Sat. March 6th could decide the last #1 seed. I wouldn’t be shocked if they move that game to Sunday.

You can look back at several small things that added up.

Giving up 3 points on fouling a 3 point shooter when your diving at him from way far away.
Giving up the 2 points to end the half when you had 4 fouls to give.
The 2 terrible turnovers leading to 5 points.

Those stand out to me.

This is where you hate the game being at 1 PM and having to think about it and try to get through the rest of your Sunday with nothing else much going on.

Next game won't be easy at a hungry Michigan State team that if they can beat Ohio State will be right back in the NCAA tournament picture.

This will be their Super Bowl.

They love flying through the air to block an attempt only to let the shooting calmly wait for them to go by and drill a wide open shot.

I FUCKING HATE THAT AND THIS TEAM DOES IT MORE THAN ANY TEAM I CAN REMEMBER.

Turnovers, yes. But bad rebounding? Dickinson is 7'1" and a lottery pick. Give them some credit. Plus, OSU made some really tough shots and played about as well they could in the 1st half and *ichigan went 10-13 from 3 and were still up by 2 at the half. Give credit where credit is due, even if it is the weasels.

It sucks losing to them, but this isn't football. The sky is not falling. This game served as a good barometer of where they are and they are certainly a top 4-8 team from what I have seen from the rest of the country this year. The way they are playing, their interchangeable parts, and the different styles in which they can play and still win games all make this team a difficult out in the tournament. And they play really hard, which I think all Buckeye fans can get behind after some of the years in recent past. This team is fun to watch and can't wait to watch them make a run in 3 weeks.

More frustrating than the 2 at the end of the half was wasting the first 25 seconds of the previous possession so we could throw up a desperatino shot even though Michigan would still have about 8 seconds left. Run the damn play.

All in all, with Sueing having an off game, Ahrens missing his only two threes and Musa out - great performance.
