'24' RAISES DEAD

By MELISSA JANE KRONFELD

Carlos Bernard as Tony Almeida

September 20, 2007 -- IT'S official. 'Day Seven' of Fox's monster hit "24" is in production, and you won't believe who they brought back from the dead.
Embattled widower and Bauer best-buddy Tony Almeida (Carlos Bernard) was not killed at the end of season five after all, Fox said yesterday.
Despite being left for dead in the CTU infirmary, executive producer Howard Gordon pointed out "since there was no silent clock at the conclusion of his last appearance - the '24' tribute to major character's demise - we always kept this as a possibility." Almeida's return - which has been grist for the rumor mills for the past few months - will come during the new season's two-night premiere in January, the network says.

Tony's character profile listed him as an expert in Krav Maga. If that is the case, then we better get to see it!

My guess is you will. FWIW, there is a show on the History Channel on martial arts that had a Krav Maga segment.

They haven't said other than it was being pushed back from the original Jan debut because of the strike.

Kiefer is doing his 48 days starting this week. My guess is that they are just going to scratch this season and try again next year.

They have the beginning of the season taped already, but they didn't want to start showing them until they knew they wouldn't have a interruption.

If the strike ends soon they will probally just push it back to Feb or march and go through, if not soon then you are right it may be awhile before they show it.

Human Weapon - The History Channel Series

I just asked my fiance, and he said he has that episode on tape (he's a 5th degree black belt in Kenpo). I'm going to watch it! I took a few Krav Maga lessons in Columbus but then ended up moving to Boston and haven't started it back up. I think it's a great martial art.
