2026 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, Arrogant Twatwaffles, Emasculated Cucks, Feckless Marmots, Dirty Cheaters "Mid"chigan

I don't disagree with most of your post, but I do disagree that referees should ever be an advantage or disadvantage. It shouldn't matter whose referees are running the game - they should be impartial.

But you might be right about that they will try to call it for Texas to try to redeem their rep.
One of the major factors in early season wagering on college football, has been P4 matchups where the away team brings conference referees. It’s been a dirty little secret for over 5+ years now. Away teams cover at a far higher clip than they otherwise should. It’s a massive conflict of interest and college football should honestly ban it, but for whatever reason they don’t….

There shouldn’t be conference referees at all. Just centralize the whole thing with the NCAA. It seems like contracting for the training of and assigning referees is something that even that incompetent organization could manage.

per CBS Sports article on Most overrated college football programs:

Michigan

The Wolverines have been decimated by scandal since ... the entire 2020s. They also return 10 starters but only three on defense; Wink Martindale's group hardly was Sherrone Moore's problem the past couple years in Ann Arbor. Factor in a schedule that includes road tilts Minnesota, Oregon and Ohio State, plus home games against Oklahoma, Iowa, Penn State and defending national champion Indiana — in addition to an entirely new coaching regime — and it's easy to see Michigan is out in front its football skis with this No. 16 ranking.

It may seem over the top, but that ridiculous situation is going to indirectly impact Ohio State at Texas.

It will be a Big 10 crew.

They’re going to be extremely cautious to not look biased.

What should have been a small (or maybe large?) advantage has turned into a massive disadvantage.

We’d be better off with neutral referees at this point.

The Big 10 has ruined its reputation….and for what??? A very mediocre Michigan team. Just an embarrassing situation all around.
I would definitely be requesting a neutral crew for this week if I were anywhere near a position to do so for our administration this week. There shouldn't be one of our crews there anyway in this big of a nonconference matchup imo. They've only had all freaking offseason to have it figured out already. And yes I know it's usually the Away teams conference working it but this is a no win situation.

I wish I still lived in your world, truly, where positive things like that still happened. My bitter reality kinda sucks.
