2025 tOSU Offense Discussion

Jesus Christ,

Thanks for positing this was great.

Their DL is holistically better than ours I think. I love our crew but they absolutely don’t generate pressure like that. They held their own against UT and IU, but that front is on another planet.

I really hope Day is working with Sayin on a lot of intermediate stuff because that ball needs to get the fuck out of there. That’s one of the best overall units in the country regardless of position and can take over games.

Hopefully Jackson can get some tough yards.
What are smoking?

Miller Moss of Louisville and Kevin Jennings of SMU combined for

45/68 (66.17%)
518 yards
3TD
0 INT

Seems like there is a way to survive the Miami defense.

OSU is the best offense Miami has seen all year by a wide margin and there will be no weather to make us play one handed. If Day and company can't figure it out with the players they have, then they deserve to lose.

They also gave up 365 pass yards to SMU and almost 200 yards rushing to Va Tech. Not to mention a number of other high 200s pass yards allowed.

If all we are going to do is watch highlights then yep they’re scary as hell. But this is a defense that has its warts vs both the run and pass.

That said, this will be the best DL we face all year and that includes if we win it all. But this isn’t a defense that is some kind of 2000 Miami defense either. We can score 30+ on these guys if we stay aggressive and don’t turn it over

Miami Dline is good but it's not all world. Think their stats might be a bit inflated from feasting on a awful ACC slate tol. I agree it's ok the be concerned especially after the Indiana game but they are definitely stoppable.
Yes. This exactly.

They’re a very good DL. Maybe the best in the country but that doesn’t mean anything if their back 7 is just plainly average to good.

I’m sorry but if you give up 365 yards to anyone that’s something to remember. They beat up on a very poor ACC.

If you think about it. Miami/ND/AM are literally identical to each other. They’re roughly the same talent level and same program.

We all know what ND/OSU looks like and that’s about what we have here. All that to say Miami can certainly win this game but it’s not likely.

Agreed. The longer the game goes the more we pull away. Wondering if Day is going to use some tempo against Miami. And pretty confident MP is going to pressure Beck.

Obviously I’d like to see more tempo early. Go up 14-0 and watch them panic themselves into a meltdown.
Same here, I want to pound the pedal to the metal to start. Lean heavy on Smith and Tate even if it's obvious. Then go into the methodical time of possession approach while Miami gets desperate.
