2025 tOSU Offense Discussion

Yeah, even though Sayin missed Inniss numerous times. He gets little separation, and kind of just sits after his route. Rodgers and Graham deserve some slot PT
Graham should be given more of a look.

But it’s not going to happen so I should shut up. They aren’t going to sit the captain and I guarantee you Hartline believes he’s a round 1 guy.

Innis hasn’t given us anything and he’s not dynamic running the ball. He’s not Egbuka and I think we overestimated him this season.

For the offense to take the next step we need to either play more 2 TE formations or we need to give others a shot.

Btw J Book said something today and it totally hit home for me. I couldn’t place who Bo Jackson reminded me of. J Book said a young Jamal Charles and it hit me that’s exactly who I was thinking of.

Totally blew my mind I was also thinking of Charles I just couldn’t place it but it’s true. The number, the size, the hair, speed, vision, power etc.

Not bad for Bo.

I don’t see the same level of speed for Jackson as Charles. He’s more of a power back imo. He’s closer to Carlos Hyde from my vantage point. Charles would’ve had at least 2 TDs tonight, Jackson got caught from behind each time.

Charles had a really unique level of speed. I’d say over the last 15-20 years he’s probably one of the three fastest along with Chris Johnson and….i dunno.

Running style I can see the resemblance, but Charles’ game speed was absolutely insane.

But I like how the staff forces themselves to play players that produce and they’re not just blindly loyal to seniority - which gives me confidence either Rodgers or Graham will start to get run if Inniss doesn’t start contributing more to the offense — because he isn’t.

Eckhaus completed 25 of 36 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns, but even that stat line is a bit deceiving. Before the game got out of hand, Eckhaus had completed 22 of his first 25 passes – including a perfect 11 of 11 on a pair of third-quarter TD drives. And while he had two interceptions, neither appeared to be his fault.
If that’s what the WSU QB could do to that defense, Sayin should be excited

Just sayin': Does everyone realize just how young this offense is? I know there could be players opting out for the NFL and/or transferring; however, there are only 4 guys on the entire depth chart ineligible to come back next year. The two guys listed as starters really are not the primary player at that position. Jackson as emerged as the RB1 and Klare is actually TE1 (at least in receptions). Another one is the QB4 who probably won't ever "see the field" this season. This offense is only going to get better as the year goes on.

Yeah that's insane. Hard to believe we could have Siereveld at LT for another two years. OSU could realistically return every starter from this year's offense besides Tate (if you count Klare and Jackson as the starters at their respective positions). (Carnell is a lock for the draft lol). And I expect Mylan to be another beast at WR by next year.

I was telling someone that the other day. That this year would be the only year that the rest of CFB would see a "down" OSU due to so many inexperienced players. But the fact that so many are a head of schedule should put fear in the hearts of the rest of CFB. And the other fact is, they are so freaking deep at almost every position as well.

The thing is though Mylan is strictly an outside receiver I believe. Innis is obviously in the slot. Two totally different positions.

I agree with the notion that the positions are totally different but don’t all the receivers learn the roles of all positions for all plays?

I know he’s not the first or second option but a slot — win that talent on the outside - should absolutely be generating multiple first down catches per game. I would like to see some all 22 film to see if he gets open with any consistency but something just seems off here.

I think Graham is ultimately a better physical talent but I won’t pretend to know more than the coaching staff.
