Tywone Malone is one of the better stories on the team this year. Looked like one of those guys that was just going to float through their career but has had a really solid year.

Texas A&M took the basic scouting report on Beck - he sucks under pressure, and sold out on blitzes to bring pressure. As pointed out in this video, those blitzes left them unsound in run defense on basically every single big run Miami had.

The Ohio State defense has been the exact opposite of this all year - don’t worry about pressure and stay assignment sound (with Arvell Reese being noticeably held back from blitzing in the second half of the season, most obviously).

I am supremely confident that Ohio State’s defense can strike a much better balance between bringing pressure to make Beck’s life hell without leaving vulnerability in the run defense.
