2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments - NCAA: no wins taken away, no postseason ban

He got it to keep the ship afloat during a tumultuous time, in a there is nothing to see here type of way. Ironically it worked fine.

The money they have gotten to throw at recruits now will keep the ship afloat more than anything. It takes them from possibly sinking to .500 type seasons annually bad to being about the same mundane ok enough but not really a threat at all they were pre 2020 under Harbaugh. Moore is a average at best coach and yes not as good as Harbaugh but the money will buy a few players Harbaugh coujda never dreamed of.

OK, so... insufficient evidence to know if the outcome of games were affected. How about, as a matter of Rule, they were caught by "overwhelming evidence" of ... wait for it... impermissible behavior. The mere fact that it is ... wait for it .. impermissible is sufficient to establish that any benefit conferred by the ... IMPERMISSIBLE behavior... should be returned to zero. Consequently, vacate the wins. It's not tough.

What about intent? If there was no intent to ensure a favorable outcome then why would they have done it?

Someone should have asked him straight up if someone was caught hacking headsets for 2.5 years would you vacate games. And if he sayid no call him out on not protecting integrity of the competition and if he said yes ask him what's the difference between hearing it words and knowing signs by illicit means?

Exactly. The scouting they did is "illegal" That alone means it confers a benefit beyond what the Rules say are permissible. I mean, you're not wrong about intent. It bolsters the argument, for sure. But I don't think you even need to get to intent.

That's the biggest head scratcher to me. The integrity of the competition just took a pretty major blow. It's why people are talking about walking away from CFB. I am not gonna go that far. I will still watch Ohio State football. I don't watch near as much CFB as I used to anyway, and I'll probably watch about that or less now... It's more a matter of if there's anything else to do and what else might be on that prevents me from having to listen to the talking heads talk about the same shit over and over.

The fucking guy said it himself:
  • "You don't put together an elaborate network called the 'KGB' ... spend tens of thousands of dollars ... unless you intend to gain a significant competitive advantage," Bay said.
How the fuck do you punish the competitive adv... sorry... the SIGNIFICANT competitive advantage? You negate that advantage, you fucking clown.
