It’s like alleged, but when everyone knows it actually happened.wtf is "ledged"?
I don't think the NCAA will get involved with the Weiss stuff so long as there is an active lawsuit or investigation from outside parties going on.
Probably part of the calculations being made by the recruits. Cash in, hit the portal and cash in again somewhere else.I'm sure Sharonna and crew are lying their teeth off to recruits about the impending nothinburger. Too bad the portal's a hell of a drug.

I'm not sure that matters anymore. This is now a $$$ industry. It will be glorious to watch their team disintegrate when those kids realize they probably will never play in a bowl game of consequence and suffer the consequences of their short term decision.
Or maybe not. Good money and you only have to play in 13games. A lot fewer hits come draft time. Not saying anyone would follow the logic, but it might be something to consider.$$$ talks. Cryin' and his crew are little to no part of the reason why suddenly this surge of more higher level guys are "wanting" to go there. There's no harm for these recruits to commit at the moment for promised big NIL money, they can and will just jump elsewhere if heavy sanctions do come down.
This all seems like a calculated PR stunt by scUM though, all of this NIL money suddenly came flying in at a convenient time. We've seen how desperate they are to preserve the bullshit "Michigan Man" imagine. Wonder how many of these hilariously high NIL offers will even stand up if they actually get to the time where it's time to pay up anyway. scUM is offering like 4X the money to these players than the next best offers.

The top guys are going there purely because of NIL, we've seen how that's worked out for other schools so far who take on a bunch of recruits they only were able to get attention from because of NIL. It's liable to implode anyways even with the $$$
Or it's the market beginning to mature a little bit and that is going to be the price for top end talent going forward.
I think you could very easily see kids just go to the highest bidder, looking at it like a temporary stop on the way to the NFL, and couldn't care less about the CFP let alone Bowl games.
One thing that will be true though is those teams will be paying a premium for their talent. That should be (unknown budgets cloud the picture) a competitive advantage for teams that feel they can out scout and develop bigger spenders.
Who knows? It's all still to be played out but I wouldn't get comfortable with any kind of rock solid belief in what worked a couple years ago is the proper way forward as well.
