I remember a co-worker being excited when the Browns drafted him. "Watch this video, where it shows that he's ALWAYS in the right place - he's ALWAYS disrupting the play, even if his stats don't show it."
I said that he's cherry-picking videos where he just happens to be right there at the end of the play. Someone else could easily make a video of him "tackling air" (I like your term so I'm using it). You got all these guys who are where they're supposed to be, disrupting the other team, AND GETTING THE STATS. I said that it's telling that he doesn't have the stats.
He played SS, CB, and LB for the cheaters. So the Browns drafted him and played him at FS. But he was really deep for a FS. Remember when you're playing schoolyard football and there's that one kid who couldn't catch it? You'd just say, "GO DEEP" on every play. Get him out of everyone else's way. I think that's what the Browns were doing with Peppers.

I remember watching Deace after The Game in 2018. He was broken and his tears were delicious.
I watched him once since the cheating came to light in 2023. "What's the big deal? Knowing the other team's plays doesn't help us in any way."
I'll probably watch him again if punishments are "Severe enough" (as judged by me).
