Yeah. I want them to whine, accuse and fully indulge their victimhood fetish. Aside from showing the country their true colors, when they fuck up again...and they will...the ncaa will be ready to hammer even harder.

Me and the wife refer to Disneyland as the "Money Gauntlet", that's all it is, with a kid especially you can't go more than like 20 feet without them running into something they want to buy.

I'll hijack this thread for a second to promote my sister in law's Disney-planning side hustle. she follows Disney the way we follow Ohio State. no cost to you, but you'll get advice and all the pain in the ass character meet & greet or lightning pass stuff scheduled.

Interestingly, we own a boutique travel agency that "hosts" agents like this all across the country, and we do a huge amount of business annually with the mouse.

It's never really cheap, but having someone who knows the ropes plan for you can definitely get you the maximum return for your spend.

Support folks like this - it's a great side hustle.

Hate to break it to you, but I took my now grown grandkids to Disney twice when they were little (4 to 8ish).

The little one remembers nothing and the older one not much more.

And for the record, mixing discussion of the Magic Kingdom with our expectations of what is coming to AA is totally appropriate.

Yeah.

I mean, the girls had the time of their life and everything there is done first class, but my God, the cost of everything is insane. And what are parents with limited means to do? Average Americans cannot swing that without going into debt. As huge as they are, their costs are pure greed. They can still make money hand over fist keeping their costs reasonable. It infuriates me.

What's really neat about everything Orlando area is that if you take your 5yo to see your best friend who lives in Orlando but don't have anywhere near Disney money, the pilot on the plane, as you approach the landing will mention something about "welcome to Disneyland" and you get to see your child's eyes light up with pure joy, probably for the last time in your poor ass life.

Gotta love it
