So, Ono is out the door immediately. He's not staying until the end of the year or for the next academic year as a transition while the search for his replacement. Yeah, totally not shown the door. Gee was shown the door, but we at least let him have a transition period out so he could save some face.

My assumption is that the final straw with Ono was it becoming known to the tcun regents that Ono was made aware of what was on Weiss' laptop and sat on it to protect Harbaugh and the foosball. Even at a place dysfunctionally obsessed with its image like tsun, that's a hard one to bounce back from. Sucks that they allowed him to resign and that he lined up a soft landing. He really needed the shame of being run out on a rail.
