2025 scUM Shenanigans, Arguments, etc.

I find it interesting that for all the denials from UM and the lack of attention from the media, UM does not have a single 4 star recruit or even a 3 star with a true ranking.

That tells me the parents are getting the message.

Yeah, I'm sure there is a lot of negative recruiting going on out there concerning the NCAA violations in the scUM football program. Some potential recruits are undoubtedly just waiting to see what the NCAA penalties are. Regardless, if Larry Ellison is still donating millions scUM will probably end up getting a few 4 and/or 5 stars for 2026.

Given today's climate in CFB, I truly wonder how much impact sanctions will have on their recruiting. If they have a booster willing to throw millions at these kids, how many of them will care if they don't get to play in a postseason? If they're just looking for a pay day (and I'm sure a lot of them are), I would guess tCun will still get their share of top recruits that are just looking for a bag.

They’ll get some, but they will have to overpay. When presented with comparable offers the player will most likely avoid the shitshow …

Absolutely they'll still get some recruits, if they have the boosters. They might get some scholarship reductions, but that won't hurt much if the recruits are getting paid millions.
But there will still be players who want to win championships. Let the recruits talk to the players who stood on the podium, holding the trophy. How much was that experience worth to those players? Would they sell it for $100k? $250k? $500k? There's a price for many/most of us, and the cheaters may likely get some top-end recruits who are getting the millions. But will they get the next-level recruits? Maybe, but I'd guess no.

Once the hammer falls who's going to be coaching in the shithole ? How can they even talk about development when that entire coaching staff is going to be nuked. Lies upon lies ....

“It was after the TCU game that we — that I found out, we found out, that there was allegations,” Harbaugh said at the NFL’s annual spring meeting Monday morning. “And you said it, I mean indictment, that's not a word that — sympathy for the victims and for Matt's family. It’s shocking.”
At least five current and former student athletes have filed a class-action lawsuit against Weiss, the University of Michigan board of regents and third-party vendor, Keffer Development Services. One of the suits requested the court enter a judgment exceeding $100 million.

This is the wildcard.

If Sherrone is axed in the wake of penalties, what kind of coach is going to take that job? I'd guess they would really struggle to find someone. If Moore survives, a lot will probably depend on how this season goes. If they can cobble together a decent season, that might be enough to sell some recruits on their program. If they go 6-6 or something like that, cannot imagine much enthusiasm.

The way I'm reading things, I have a hard time seeing Sherrone, or anybody else currently under their employ keeping their job.

This one puts a bit of a tingle in my dingle...
I've been waiting for that smarmy, self-obsessed jock sniffer to meet his Waterloo since the "multiple flagships" interview and the other crap he pulled at UC. I was shocked that he somehow weaseled his way into the tcun job and predicted that they'd be sorry.

Soon...soon...soon that miserable worm's world is about to come crashing down.
