Well they’re getting something that we can be assured.
So look at what Kentucky and Arizona State got for far less issues within the last 2 years.
Kentucky vacated 2021 got a fine and was placed on probation because a few players were paid for hours they didn’t work.
Arizona State self imposed a bowl ban, vacated games, lost scholarships, had recruiting restrictions, and got probation for recruiting violations during COVID.
So now ask yourself what do you think a 3 year game fixing operation would run you where you knew and didn’t report, didn’t cooperate, BET on yourself, destroyed evidence, and have kicked your feet screaming the entire time all while being a repeat offender.
They aren’t keeping those wins. So if they aren’t keeping those wins how do they keep their championships? So in order it’ll go they lose games to being vacated, then they’ll lose their BIG 10 titles and then they’ll lose their national championship. If Arizona state tells us anything they’ll also get scholarship reductions, probation, show cause penalties, and some kind of post season ban. Considering all major scandals have at least one year (free tattoos) bowl ban but there’s no way they don’t get more than that. Justice would be 3 years to match what they did but I bet they get 2.
I’m thinking they’ll lose 15-20 scholarships (over 4 years), show cause for the coaches involved, 5-10 years probation, vacated wins between 2021-2023, national championship won’t be recognized, and 2 year bowl ban. I fully expect the big ten to also take their big ten titles and I expect the CFP to take their championship then too.
