Well no, not factually, no.That is an important distinction.
Never let it be said that BP engages in factually incorrect shenanigans.
First off that appears to be a planet killer anyways. Second, where can we buy asteroids?![]()
Apologies. A bit small but all I could afford.
I thought we had laws against cruel and unusual punishment?Still in the land of hand pumped beer and wondering if all of Ann Arbor has been moved to Alcatraz. Keep me posted. BBC keeps calling something "football" but I can tell it's just fuckin' soccer.
So by the time the penalties are announced it will be about two years. Sadly, I think that's pretty fast for the NCAA.I found this worth reading:
Triple Double 1 HOUR AGO
Expected Timeline for the Stalions Scandal.
TLDR: The COI Hearing will be June 6-7. The public announcement of penalties will be around the end of July. The public announcement of the result of any appeals process will be around the end of November. Don’t expect any public announcements or official public information beyond those two events. You can be patient and ignore the noise.
COI Panel. We know the COI Hearing for the Stalions scandal will be June 6-7. At the COI Hearing, the COI Panel will find facts related to alleged violations, determine if facts constitute violations, and prescribe penalties. The COI Panel bases its determinations on information (either direct or circumstantial) that is credible, sufficient, and on which a reasonable person could rely. The COI Panel decision about penalties will be public around the end of July.
IAC. An Infractions Appeals Committee (IAC) will consider any appeals of decisions made by the COI Panel. The IAC could affirm, reverse, or vacate decisions made by the COI Panel. The full appeal process will likely take about 4 months, and to ensure the integrity of the process we won’t get any public info about the appeal process until it’s complete. Any IAC Decision is final, binding, and not subject to further review—it is the end of the formal process.
Below I updated my process table, which shows key dates based specific sections (e.g., 19.13.3.1) of Article 19 of
the 2024-2025 NCAA Division I Manual.
Some main points here are that, as always, the process needs to unfold by the rules to preserve its integrity and the pace of this process is pre-determined. The entire investigation/allegation/resolution process for the Stalions scandal has closely followed the prescribed process and timeline. If someone says that nothing is happening or that the process is taking too long, then they simply don’t know what they’re talking about. If someone is using their perception of a delayed timeline as a reason to expect a light (or heavy) punishment, that’s ignorance compounded by stupidity. Again, the process and timeline are described in the NCAA Manual, and the process for the Stalions scandal has unfolded exactly as expected. And it will continue to go by-the-book through the appeal process. We know what to expect, and we just need to be patient and watch it unfold.

Funny that the word integrity continues to be used here. Seems to me that if one acts without integrity, one should not expect others to act accordingly.I found this worth reading:

Preferably for me personally, they would report the penalties to the public before The Game so UM can be humiliated by the media over and over before and during the game. The media's narrative will switch to focus on their rampant corruption, and they will pile on, after severe penalties are announced as final.I found this worth reading:

But of course, they won't announce until a couple days after The Game. This is taking too long. I know what I am talking about.
Hopefully those few days will be the worst in their program's history, including a loss to the good guys.
