Apologies. A bit small but all I could afford.

Interesting take on 11W

It's clear that the campus police knew to investigate Weiss about a week before the TCU game.

What's totally unclear is whether they would: a) inform his bosses immediately or b) tee up an investigation with outside police first. And it was over the holidays. It would not shock me if they told Warde and/or Harbaugh who did nothing about it, but it also wouldn't be surprising if they didn't take action with the supervisors during the week of Christmas while they determined a course of action. You are right, though - the FBI probably knows the answer. And, the plaintiffs' attorneys are going to find out.

I think this guy gets it wrong. FBI's reach was not to Harbaugh or Warde. Their first reach would be to a combination of the university police chief and the university's general counsel. Those two would have then taken it to Ono. Now, as much as we want Simple Jim to be implicated in the decision to let Weiss coach, I have a hunch that the trail ends with Ono and he made the decision to sit on the info so as not to cause any distractions during his precious playoff game. Probably need to wait until Weiss' criminal trial to find out, but if the tsun regents have been made aware of this then it would certainly indicate why they were hot both to get Ono the hell out and why they let him leave on his own terms rather than publicizing why they were firing him.

From first hand experience, we know what Ono is capable of. After the AAU elected a couple of members and UC was not among them, Ono went around Cincy telling local politicians and corporate leaders that they didn't get in because Ohio State organized the B1G schools into blackballing them (hint: we don't have that kind of power). It took about 1 day for those people to call up contacts at Ohio State and ask if it were true, which it wasn't. It was pretty indicative though of what we were dealing with down there.

Whether it's the NCAA findings or Weiss' criminal trial or a combination of the two, I am really hoping that it will destroy Ono's professional and academic reputation forever. #BET
