I look at it this way, Florida and Ohio State were both undefeated and ranked #1 and #2 in 1996 going into rivalry week. Both lost to their rivals, both then won their bowl game against the #1 and #2 teams respectively, but Florida's bowl game was a rematch against the team they lost to. I give the Bucks the Woody1968 National Championship that year.

2 years later, we lose against MSU, but win against scUM and in the Bowl game. We would have smoked either Tennessee (Weakest NC team since that Ga Tech split title) or Weinkeless FSU that year.

1993 and 1995 were faceplants.

One of the worst big game coaches in the history of the sport so people want to make a fantasy world in which....he coaches in more big games and has success.

and he had just pulled another "Cooper" with a dismal loss in The Game followed up by a no show upset in a Bowl to fucking South Carolina.

It was like we were back to the beginning of his shittastic era (Liberty Bowl) and I think that was waht finally did it. Then they took the off field bullshit mixed it in and he was gone many years later than he should have been.

Fuck that fucking guy.

And that would be the mehest of hires for a supposed "big boy" program. The logic that because a coach does good enough at a place like Louisville and Purdue then he is automatically gonnna evolve into an elite level coach with "better resources" cracks me up.
