Interim Poggi: U-M a malfunctioning organization
Michigan interim coach Biff Poggi described the program as a "malfunctioning organization" after a series of high-profile scandals, one he hopes to "fix" if he becomes the team's permanent coach.www.espn.com
| 2016 | Michigan (analyst) |
|---|---|
| 2017–2020 | |
| 2021–2022 | Michigan (assoc. HC) |
| 2023–2024 | |
| 2025–present | Michigan (associate/interim HC) |
Just sayin': Conner Stallions had his sign stealing scheme going on in 2021 - 2022 (i.e. the 2 years prior to their NC year) when Poggi was the assoc HC and he did nothing about it. Nor is there any record that he cooperated with the NCAA investigation. It seems to me that he was a willing participant in scUM's years of "malfunction".
Asked why he would be a strong choice for the long-term job, Poggi said, "Because I know what the hell I'm doing. ... I want to fix this program."
However, only now when he has a chance for (undoubtedly) a multi year $6M to $9M a year HC position he "wants to fix the program".......

With that being said, Poggi has proven to be a "shitty" head coach at Charlotte (his only college head coaching experience) I actually hope he gets the job....
