Not to be that excuse guy but the BYE teams are clearly at a disadvantage. Just got to 16 teams and play straight through no BYEs

I just turned on the game. Is the stadium 3/4 full? There are a lot of empty seats. I would go to the 16 team playoffs and put the bowl system out of it misery. Make it more like the NFL playoffs with home games for these first rounds.

Agree 100%. I’d also drop the automatic bids and just take the top 16 ranked teams.

No more than 3 from any one conference? If you can only take 3 from the ACC, Big 12, Big 10 and SEC, that gives you 12 teams. That leaves you 4 teams from bad non power 5. That is if the ACC and Big 12 doesn't suck. If they have a down year and you only take 2 from each of those, that leaves 6 from the non power 5 conferences.

I would leave out any independent team. I am looking at you ND.
