The CBS Sports Classic, which historically has featured OSU, UNC, UK and UCLA, had a change as St John's was swapped in this year & next (at least) for UCLA. Bruins coach Mick Cronin was irritated about his team traveling to the East Coast twice within a span of weeks last season, with the CBS Sports Classic game at MSG being the cause of one of the trips. UCLA may not be in the event in the future because Cronin dislikes the extra travel, especially now with the B1G requiring a handful of long trips every year. Other than two years in Vegas, the event, which started in 2014, has been hosted only as far west as Chicago and New Orleans.
