Yeah Maryland just got demolished 2 days in a row against Gonzaga and Alabama, giving up 100+ and losing by 33+ points each game. The Terps are definitely having a down year, in part because their leader Rodney Rice transferred to USC.

Sparty is looking really good and just beat North Carolina for their 3rd ranked win on the season (following Arkansas and Kentucky). Izzo has put together a deep & well-balanced team, and they're obviously going to be a factor in the B1G.

B1G is brutal this year, at least the top half

There are definitely are some formidable B1G squads. There are several that seem to be top-25 quality or close to it - Purdue, UM, MSU, USC, IU, and Illinois. Purdue, UM and MSU are all legit Final Four contenders. Right now I would put OSU in the second tier group along with Iowa, UCLA, Oregon, Wisconsin and Nebraska. The bottom tier of probably not very good teams is Maryland, Rutgers, PSU, Northwestern, Minnesota and Washington.
