the talent in the secondary should really give us the ability to be creative with our pressures. We really need to ramp things back up in 2024.
Also, I’d love to see Hicks/Styles both at LB on 3rd and long. Imagine the blitzing ability and the ability to cover?

Hicks and Styles being out there in a potential blitz package would be ridiculous. The secondary will be the best in the country, so that works just fine.

Now we have to act like it occasionally. The secondary can hold up their end if we blitz and I hope Jim realizes that.

Ohio State leads the way with four first-team selections. Georgia and Michigan each have three.
DT: Tyleik Williams, Ohio State
After a 2023 season that saw Williams tie for the team lead with 10 tackles for loss, his announcement that he was returning for his senior season was big news around the Ohio State football complex. The 6-2, 290-pound Williams would have been one of the top five or six interior defensive line prospects in this year's NFL draft had he come out, but now that he's back, the Buckeyes head into 2024 with one of the strongest defensive lines in the country.CB:
Second team: Denzel Burke, Ohio StateS: Caleb Downs, Ohio State
Alabama's loss was Ohio State's gain. After a sensational freshman season in Tuscaloosa, Downs transferred to Ohio State last week and immediately steps into the Buckeyes' secondary as one of the most talented defenders in the country. A starter since Week 1 last season, Downs led Alabama with 107 total tackles and intercepted two passes. He's a sure tackler, has great instincts and covers like a cornerback.
