*2024 tCun Shenanigans, Arguments, Cobras, Feckless Marmots, Fake Pandas, Dirty Cheaters

Supposedly, Will Johnson has a turf toe type injury. These types of injuries can last an entire season. IIRC I think he missed the entire second half against Illinois. If he is limited or out it could end up being a beat down kinda day. But, in all honesty, I expect that to happen regardless.

Will Johnson didn't even look that great before he got hurt. He had the 2 picks 6s but those were both pick 6s that about any DB makes, gifted ones by the QB starring down his receiver on a obvious pass to them.

Not that that program needs a reason to be chippy bitches, but yeah. And if sanctions come down that week, expect Ono to fan the flames as hard as his smirking, jock-sniffing, \wants to be an athlete little ass can.

What are the chances that if sanctions hit that week they try to weasel out of playing the game and quit "in protest"?

Seems very on brand for them.

ZERO. They could get away with it last time because it was a thing with established procedures, which both gave them plausible cover for ducking the beating and an out from any legal liability. This time, there is no such procedure for them to do it, and they'd be causing real economic damage to several powerful entities. They'd be costing Ohio State the revenue from a home game. They'd be costing FOX the revenue from the perennially most-watched regular season football game of the year. They'd be costing the B1G financial damage. Hell, imagine a class action lawsuit by every hotel and restaurant in Columbus being dropped on those motherfuckers.

Yoko, Warde and the Wal-Mart Regent might make some noise about it, but like with the lawsuit over the Harbaugh suspension, they'll run away at the last moment.

It's really gonna be on the defense being able to not give up a bunch of 1st downs via series of 3/4 yard runs. I fully expect scUM to come in and just try to bleed the clock out as much as they can.
That's a good point. 2 first downs could be 6-7 minutes off the clock.
Say Ohio State gets the ball first, and scores at the 11:30 mark. They don't get the ball back until 4:30, and score again at about 1:00. Ohio State doesn't get it back until about 9:00 left in the half, score at about 5:00, and *ichigan can almost run out the half. Maybe Ohio State uses time outs and gets the ball back with about 1:00 remaining. A couple of dumb plays and we can't score - it's only 21-0 at halftime, with *ichigan getting the ball to start the second half.
42-3 seems realistic.

His 2 pick 6s are a little more nuanced than that. It's not like he was standing there and the ball was thrown right at him. What actually happened was that he jumped routes that he probably shouldn't have, and was lucky the play was just a quick pass to the WR. I don't believe he properly diagnosed a play and shut it down......because he jumps every single route. If Oregon cooked Burke on a couple double moves, Will Johnson would still be running the opposite direction wondering where everybody went against them.

Yep, shit would be so frustrating if they can get a couple of slow grinding 1st downs each drive, and even though they end up punting take like 5-6 minutes off the clock each time. They've got absolutely nothing to lose so you know they are likely going to go for anything 4th and like <2 every time as well.

Can this scUM team actually manage to pass for less yards than the 2008 Rich Rod debacle with fucking Steven Threet and Nick Sheridan running a spread option offense?

Those 2 bums combined for 1,718 yards 11 TD/12 INT

Thru 7 games in 2024 the scUM QB train has combined for 898 Yards 6 TD/ 9 INT.

I don't think this group is capable of putting up 820 more yards in the 5 games they have left. That would require 164 YPG when their current average is 128
