I'm wondering how much even the $12 mil lasts after '23 gets taken away. Portnoy throwing a diaper baby tantrum because Michigan didn't try hard enough to keep '23 in the trophy case would be about as on brand as it gets for that shit stain. I can see him just straight up not paying if that happens.

"Barstool" is impressed......

Barring massive cheating throwing off expectations (mid recruiting equals mid results), throwing out that kind of money for one player can be expected to 1) limit the amount available to attract and retain other talent and 2) disrupt locker room chemistry and especially QB room chemistry.
Haha yeah goodbye QB room. Then again they like walk on QBs anyways.

Bryce better stay healthy for their sake because they won’t have options.

When do these sanctions get announced again? If indeed, the hammer falls hard, this kid isn't going to scUM, 12 mil or no. He's not getting good advice from the adults in his life. Yeah, $12 mil sounds really great, but killing your chances at the NFL is not worth it.

Here's what Brohio said when asked about the date when info would be available to the public:
No clue. And as many have said, It will likely be heavily redacted. But it's all we got for now unless new people start talking or as 22 mentioned, certain people start speaking on the record.

EDIT: Sorry I think that's for the contents of the NOA. The actual sanctions might not be handed out for a few months maybe? Not sure what the usual timeframe is.

For reference, the other NOA was issued in December '23, punishment came out in April, and info about the NOA came out in July. I'd expect this to go quicker based on the number of FOIA requests and interest around it, but still will be some time unless I'm missing something.

Guys. Friends. Countrymen.
The kid took the bag... and for upwards of $13 million, who could blame him?
Underwood doesn't know exactly what UM's punishment will be because UM doesn't know exactly what UM's punishment will be. If it were minor, this would have been settled back in late July. Enforcement staff remains confident in the framework. And so should we.
A coaching staff trying to save their jobs and delusional boosters willing to light their money on fire won't impact the COI.
Be patient. And enjoying watching this roller coaster play out.

Couldn't be happening to a more deserving group of fellas.

Wonder if the kid got any guaranteed money, even if they get nuked and he backs out.

They probably gave him some sort of up front money to just get the flip out there.

It's going to be hilarious when the OC next year is still Campbell. Also DFBIA continues to think the coaches or a "plan for the future" had anything to do with Underwood going there (well he's not even signed yet so....)

Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the current coaches will all get thrown under the bus and replaced. Doesn't mean it's better, but with their spending habits I'd guess they'll throw as much money as they can at a big name and go from there.

Reading 'The Secret' to see if I can manifest Campbell as interim HC for the next 10 years while they begin a 50 game losing streak to G5 schools and the stadium falls into ruin.
