I’m assuming it has more to do with not wanting to get sued than love of Michigan. Until the NCAA or Michigan decides to show their hand we have no facts as to what can be proven by the NCAA.
It’s my understanding that the NCAA claims to have evidence of misdeeds and the NOA is the revealing of evidence that will be used to form the case, much like the exchange of evidence between prosecutors and defenders prior to a criminal trial.
