I have misplaced my pants.
I see this argument a lot - "Let's not punish the players who weren't even here when the infractions happened." See, that's why the NCAA lets them transfer without waiting a year. I think I read once that they don't need to state that players can transfer out of a school without waiting a year if the punishments are harsh enough, but they usually state it, anyway. Only the players who want to be punished with post-season bans for X years have to deal with it. Plus there's the transfer portal - I don't know how that works, but it seems a lot of people transfer without any problems, already. Punish the school for cheating and collecting money based on the cheating. It won't hurt the players, unless they want to pretend they're victims. It will just hurt the school and the fans. But to hell with the fans.

I hope that you're right! The thing is, the school's admins hired him as the new HC knowing his involvement in the recruiting violations as well as the sign stealing scandal. The school is complicit with the cover-up and arrogant enough to say "we don't care" when hiring this guy.

That excuse is always lame
In this case that excuse is the NCAa’s violation of antitrust law
The ncaa comprises its member institutions
As such, the UofM is part of that antitrust violation. They are as culpable as any other institution that makes up the ncaa, and there is no other part of the ncaa; no other culpability
So…”look at what THEY did… that completely absolves us of any accountability… even though we are as much a part of that ‘they’ as anyone”

Good call. Also, he says Harbaugh was suspended from high school for failure to sign the year book. No - he was suspended for much worse. He was suspended for recruiting violations. What's the analogical equivalent? Maybe plagiarism? "Harbaugh, you've been suspended for cheating your ass off on your finals."
You bet your ass the college he goes to now is going to look into this.

If I am doing my math correctly since the start of the 2023 season Harbaugh has been suspended 3 times for a total of 18 of 24 regular season games.

Also, they are missing that the penalties are in principle (because tcun has none), not because the NCAA is trying to act tough or that they think he's going to return. It's a message saying that he's not welcome in the NCAA for at least four years.

The posts in that thread keep getting more and more gold. Harbaugh's non compliance is well documented, but PLEASE sue so more shit about shady doings at scUM under Harbaugh can come to light once people getting to digging more.
