I think they lose to Texas, Oregon & Us for sure

USC is always a wildcard, they get hype but will they deliver?

After that though the schedule is pretty weak, they probably have enough left in the tank on defense to avoid losing to any of the other teams they play, unless the coaching really is just that bad. Sparty beating them would be pretty hilarious though
Fresno State is good. Not saying they'll win, but I think they can definitely give them a 3 or 4 point game. If that happens, I think the psychological facade comes off because the players won't be able to help but start wondering how much Stalions really meant. Follow that up with a firm plungering by Texas (that made me throw up in my mouth a bit), and think the wheels could come off real easily.

Fresno State's defense looks like a pretty mediocre G5 defense, I think that keeps the game from being that close, it's a defense scUM can just play bully ball on and run to death

They basically made a total mockery of all of this and it's going to be a real shame if they totally get away with it. Remember when they'd shield their huddle when the cameras pointed that way to give the visual that somehow they were the ones being spied on and cheating against? Shit was so pathetic.
I have heard this a lot lately and even from people in the media. Talking about how they don’t think much will happen.

If nothing is going to happen then why do all this work and draft a NOA that’s going to sound pretty egregious?

They’re going to get hit. This isn’t people getting paid when they shouldn’t this is cheating in games to win. This is what corruption in sports is.

If Kentucky can get vacated wins then so will Michigan. Bringing lawsuits etc only works when you have a potential case of getting a settlement or winning.

When you’re this dead to rights does anyone really think they want discovery? Will they risk more being found out? Nope they’ll do what they did last time and sit back.

Driving me crazy how many are saying vacated wins doesn’t do anything. The hell it doesn’t… invalidates everything and tells the world they didn’t deserve it to begin with. Then from there you punish toward.

They already tried the lawsuit route and ran out of the court as fast as they could rather than open up a discovery process. Try it again and all the coaches who bolted for the NFL along with Stalions will be subpoenad and forced to give a deposition under penalty of felony perjury. Ono might grandstand about it for the adoration of tdfbia, but like last time, the university lawyers will never allow it to proceed.

This is the shit I saw last year near the end. This whole “nothing will happen”. Basically Pete thinks nothing will get taken from them and there won’t be a bowl ban. So essentially nothing…

This kind of reporting is maddening. So then why would the NCAA do anything Pete? No there’s no way it goes that route.

Michigan isn’t going to court. They don’t want this to go public with discovery under oath etc. You cannot lose this one if you’re the NCAA. This is integrity of the game issues. This isn’t pay to play that’s now legal. This is on field cheating.

There’s no damned way Michigan gets a LOIC and then gets a slap on the hand. No fucking way.

Pete is playing both sides of the fence here to maximize his own exposure. I'd take anything he says with this going forward with a extreme grain of salt. I don't see how many can read that NOA draft though and think "oh ho hum nothing is really gonna come of this maybe a small suspension if that"

Exactly. So people like Pete Thamel who claim the NCAA doesn’t want court battles is full of shit. If the evidence is there they aren’t bringing any kind of lawsuit.

Also where the hell does he get off claiming these things as fact? He has no damn clue.

No one does.

JuaggalOno going out of his way to appease the athletics side while making all the enemies with the real high and mighty "we are a strong honorable academic institute over athletics" (Not the Walmart Wolverines who constantly spout this shit) types there. Guy is making his own path out of there.

Dude settle. You need to stop speaking in absolutes. Obviously WE all know they cheated, but that's not what matters. When you start saying stuff like "there's no way".......there is a way. It's called NCAA being incompetent. Brace for it, it's likely.

He just can't help himself. After all, they did let him shower with the team.

I’d argue there should be another term other than LOIC after this. Because this was controlled.

They knew what they were doing. They made a ton of plans, organized everything, got the financing they needed and then it all paid off in the end.

No what this situation was is a lack of moral compass. They knew what they were doing was wrong and they just didn’t care as long as they won which they did.

This should be the harshest punishment ever handed down (it won’t be but it should). Not because they lacked control but because they purposely set course on an extensive course that was filled with wrongdoing.
It would be like charging Al Capone with a lack of institutional control over the Chicago Outfit.
