NC St is off their game, really look rattled by the Purdue size defensively. They want quick hitters & they don't have the patience to work this Purdue D like they really need to.

Congrats Purdue on making the title game. Now they will get to add their name to the list of B1G teams that have lost in the title game since MSU's 2000 victory. Purdue in '24, UM in '18, UW in '15, UM in '13, MSU in '09, OSU in '07, IL in '05, and IU in '02. Half of the games haven't been close, but I have a feeling this one will be closer.

I do have to credit Matt Painter and Purdue for one thing - they recognized a main weakness from last season and fixed it. As a team they were only 32% from 3 as a team a season ago. FDU dared them to shoot open 3s and the Boilers missed them. Fletcher Loyer and Braden Smith both have improved significantly, Gillis also improved, and they brought in Lance Jones to be an extra threat. Now they're hitting 40% as a team.

UConn seems to have this game in hand. Bama's vaunted offense is missing every shot lately & doesn't have the patience to keep working for great shots every possession against a great defense like UConn's.
