Sometimes, parts of our fanbase can fly the stupid flag right up there with the dfbia.

That guy is nuts. So apparently Meechie Johnson, 2nd team all-SEC last season, wasn't a big time transfer in his opinion. I suppose that dude would also say Bradshaw, the ranked #4 overall in the 2023 class, isn't a big time transfer, either.

He also doesn't consider the very real possibility that Calipari, in the twilight of his career, could do worse at OSU than he was doing lately at UK, and his performance the last several years at UK was indicative of a coach who wasn't worth all the money he was demanding. I admit it's interesting to think about, but when you look at the recent tournament performances at UK, its hard to justify paying a premium for him now.

Why did Key and Gayle leave ? This transfer portal thing is out of control.
With Key I think it was a mutual thing. After 4 years, it looked like things had run their course there. I believe OSU wanted some different skills with those minutes at the 5 spot, & I'm sure Key wanted a larger role than he would've gotten at OSU next year.

Gayle, I guess he thinks the grass is greener elsewhere. Some people switch jobs frequently so they can make more money - maybe this is the NIL equivalent. His coach was fired, so that's a free transfer now, right? IOW, I think he can switch schools again later on without sitting out a year. So maximize NIL now, and again later on.

The reason this portal season is so crazy is courts have blocked the must sit when transferring multiple times while they hear the case. So it's true free agency right now. It means Proctor gets to play at Bama this year despite transferring to Iowa and etc
