Yep. Gotta guard the inbounder on that play. Too easy.
That being said, the refs screwed Purdue down the stretch in that game. Several missed calls went to Houston, including out of bounds, flops on rebounds called as fouls, and the most crucial being the blatant push off by Houston on their last full posession with under 10 seconds left in the game. Should have been Purdue's ball with a chance to break the tie at the end.

Purdue played a gutsy game last night, thought the refs went in dry in the last few minutes. Loved that inbound play from Sampson, he still has a few tricks.

Agree with others.
1) what are we doing with these tip times? Why is an Eastern Time game tipping at 10:30 and ending close to 1am? I’m just over 2 miles from the Stadium and got home close to 2am after walking/waiting on a ride. Ridiculous for a sporting event. Old man rant.
2) You know there will be a dozen+ 50/50 calls throughout a basketball game and they won’t all go your way, but Purdue had a string of 5 in a row between out of bounds, iffy fouls and then a non-call within the last 3 minutes. Just terrible timing for that many things to all go against them late.
3) Houston is relentless. They throw bodies at you, suffocate any offensive plan and then have big play guards. Purdue probably didn’t have much business being in that game - not one of Painter’s most talented teams - but they battled. Great great game overall.
