They still need to suspend Jim, the OC and the DC.
No doubt…

I think the curious thing is who is left standing on their coaching staff to pull this dead body that is Michigan to the finish line?

You have to figure the position coaches like Jay Harbaugh were involved too so how many get suspended (before ultimately being fired)? Then at that point do they have the staff to even finish the year?

Reading the tea leaves here, this is something much bigger than illegal sign stealing. Sign stealing is just collateral damage. The FBI turned this over because they are investigating something much more sinister. Nothing else makes sense.

Since the news last night that they have already had a forensic firm in thier network and basically caught them red handed in real time, I’ve been thinking similar. Keep in mind this firm’s findings are what kicked off the investigation.

Maybe the NCAA (or the conference) has the ability to go to the top of the chain and tell the school’s CTO “We need full unfettered access to these parts of your network. Do not tell a soul”. But, like the article stated, there was no formal NCAA investigation at that time. It sure feels like this is a request that came from a sealed subpoena request that carried hefty consequences if leaked outside the handful of employees notified.

I think suspending Jim the OC and DC would be enough to cripple their season but still have a "team" that can take the field and satisfy the TV sponsors.

Last week when this all started, I thought it was kind of strange how Harbaugh commented publicly through his attorney. "He's just a freaking weirdo." was my rationale. Now I'm wondering if he wasn't trying to protect himself by letting his attorney speak instead of himself.

Of course, he eventually did then come out and publicly deny any knowledge, which will ultimately be revealed to be a lie......
His statement gives away the game, especially in light of the “they’re never allowed to talk to Harbaugh” info that has come out on the scouts.

To me, if you truly knew nothing, your statement would be something like, “there is no truth to these allegations because at Michigan we don’t cheat under my watch” and then he gets blindsided by all the shit he didn’t know about.

Instead he said, “I didn’t know about this or tell anyone to do this” which is exactly what you would say if you were fully aware of the entire operation that was specifically designed to not be connected to you.

Please tell me this is nobody from this site. Fuck their fans. They talked so much shit during the 90s, TattooGate, and Meyer's exit. UTQTFS

Supposedly the reason they don't do the radios is cost - maybe time for the big schools to open a fun, hell a donor may be able to take care of it, but supposedly that is the reason they haven't yet. Don't know if that's true.

Make the radio company a sponsor and have them supply the radios to all teams for little to no cost. Rather than a green sticker like the NFL use an AT&T logo or whoever handles it.

Well, either that or its not a Federal crime to video opposing sidelines. As we're seeing right now, there's an awful lot of cookie crumbs out there and I guess it just depends who were among the first aggrieved victims, if it was someone who lost a bet, or someone who brought it to a sportsbooks attention then those types of folks might call the FBI first.

That said, if Wyld Stallyn can run a vast network of data collectors and then analyze that data in a useful way, certainly that's just a gateway drug to a Jeffrey Epstein monetization of your management skills, isn't it?
