How did a private firm get access to Michigans coaches computers? That’s another can of worms the NCAA should open. Sounds like they were hacked and the hacked info was turned over to the NCAA.

Was going to say the same thing - a third party firm illegally accessed computer drives belonging to the University of Michigan? That's not a great look Bob.

Also had to tell what other info they may have stolen and forwarded (our practice videos sent to OSU?)

Honestly, this feels like the bigger scandal to me. You had a university hire a firm to "investigate" a rival university in order to gain an advantage over them.

Also, if they could access these drives there's now zero way to tell they didn't plant that information.

From the article.

Days later, the outside firm told the NCAA, cellphone videos depicting the coaching staffs from these games were uploaded to a computer drive maintained and accessed by Stalions as well as several other Michigan assistants and coaches.

Well, well, well. “Other assistants and coaches” huh?

That doesn’t seem positive for them.

rogue agent sounds like he was just an agent

I am telling you at this point this is like people waiting in line for the last swing at the piñata before it breaks. They are not making it through this and they will not make it to the postseason that’s for damn sure.
Hope you're right. I'm let's just say "not very happy" that they "beat" us in 21-22. Now I understand it a lot better as to why it looked like we couldn't do anything on offense.

The outside firm’s investigation began this season, these people said, and involved interviews with people knowledgeable about Michigan football’s scouting operations, as well as reviewing documents and videos related to sign-stealing efforts. Last Tuesday, these people said, this firm presented its evidence to top NCAA officials. The next day, the Big Ten later confirmed, the NCAA informed both the conference and Michigan that it had opened an investigation.

Started investigating this year with people familiar with the program. Good they kept it closed off until they delivered the goods last week.

We have had three major stories drop in less than a week regarding this. They don’t even play for another 10 days. If this much has been uncovered in such a short period of time, imagine what they’re going to do as this thing keeps unraveling.

“In total, these people said, Michigan’s sign-stealing operation expected to spend more than $15,000 this season sending scouts to more than 40 games played by 10 opponents.“
And multiple coaches were accessing the scouting videos?
This is really really bad.
