At least it would be fun to watch the fallout of their savior ducking out on them with looming NCAA sanctions coming.

I envision a great fan base split of DFBIA. You will have those treating him as some Jesus Christ type martyr and then you will have those compeltely disowning him for abandoning them

They're already setting up the narrative that the NCAA and B1G are out to frame him because he's publicly advocated revenue sharing for the players. There is nothing that will cause that cult up north to step back and say, "Harbaugh and the program fucked up and were held accountable."

The NFL didn't have a problem with Pete Carroll. I don't expect they'd have one with Harbaugh.

I will flip a god damned table or two if they don't hold any punishment handed down by the NCAA against him in the NFL. The fact that Jim Tressel couldn't work for the Colts because he lied to the NCAA was fucking asinine. It better be handled the same moronic way, if some stupid ass team decides to hire him.

Suppose Michigan goes on to win the College Football National Championship amid all the controversy surrounding the shady behavior of its head coach. In that case, I expect the NCAA may be compelled to “vacate” the title as more information is brought to light on this affair.
