Getting back to Weiss hacking students' email accounts, the guy's a football coach. He's not a computer expert. I wouldn't know the first thing about hacking into the email accounts on secure university servers. So, here's my line of thought. Either someone in the program or some outside booster purchased some sophisticated software and paid for him to learn how to use it. This was done with the aim of hacking into other university's systems to get coaches' emails, practice video etc, which he did.

Now, he has this software sitting on his computer and the newfound skill to use it, and being a perv, he says to himself why don't I use it to creep on some college girls. UM had just recovered from a major security breach of their system and probably had installed some state of the art shit. That state of the art shit catches him hacking into a bunch of umich.edu email addresses, and the feds hit the fan and find all the football related hacks and possibly gambling info on his computer.

One question is how and when US Integrity get involved. Did the B1G already have them snooping around after the Iowa gambling revelations? Did the FBI notify UMPD who spilled the beans, knowing that their ass is on the line if they try to cover it up. Did the FBI go directly to the NCAA and/or B1G. One thing is certain, and that's that had they only gone to Ono's office, he would have done everything possible to bury it,, so I don't think that's what happened.

Lotta in, lotta outs to this case, Man. Fortunately, I'm keeping my mind limber with a strict Gin & Vermouth regimen.

It’s probably even less sophisticated than that. There have been a number of hacks in recent years with emails and passwords stolen. If you know where to look, there are lists for sale or even posted without cost of this hacked information.

Those cheating fucks up north obtained one of these lists and ctrl+F for .edu domains of other B1G schools looking for players/coaches accounts, whose names are publically obtainable information. Try the email address and password obtained from hacked site to log onto the email account and/or on the cloud video hosting site that OSU and other teams were known to be using (and which OSU no longer uses). Because so many people fail to take even the tiniest precautions with digital security, the hacked passwords probably often also work for the user’s email account and on the video hosting site.

The purpose of this search is espionage against other teams - playbooks, practice videos, etc. While looking for this intel, the coaches/analysts come across other ‘private’ information. Probably share it amongst themselves and laugh. Then like you said, Weiss then goes perv and gets the idea to look at UM accounts on said list for more photos.

He was on his game today. A must listen. He hinted that this may involve gambling when he said players may regret using the word “Bet” in last week’s trolling.
True, he hinted at it

Then he said it outright

He used the word “gambling”

He suggested the reason he believes it has to do with 1) who is involved in the investigation, and 2) how many organizations are involved in the investigations

It was a shorthand version of an argument. I’d like to hear the full-length version of the argument before making a decision on this

But the truth is I think we’ll hear definitively one way or another before anyone takes the time to make that case
