Yeah. Childers got one thing completely wrong. He's under the illusion that there is some separation between the alumni and (what he called) the sidewalk alumni. There isn't. The actual alums are every bit as delusional as the Walmarts. In fact, especially the affluent out of staters who pay ridiculous Ivy level tuition to go there (53K just for tuition currently), they are so psychologically vested in the myth that place is the greatest university on earth and could never do anything wrong, that I imagine that many of them will cling to their myths to the bitter end even more than most Walmarts.

The most pathetic thing about them right now is revealed in what we all know their answer to this would be:

“You’re only the victim of a crime in your own mind. There’s no evidence that it happened.”

Their ability to ignore the mountains of, not just evidence, but proof there is out there is breathtaking to people with less experience with these people than we have, but let’s just look at the most recent thing they have to ignore to believe that.

Numerous credible outlets were reporting YESTERDAY that their LB coach was busted for trying to destroy evidence. They, the denizens of DFBIA message boards talked about this at length YESTERDAY. Yet today, they have convinced themselves that there is no evidence. Today they are people who believe that the Leaders and Best are so smart that they destroy evidence when there is no evidence

Has anything ever been more pathetic?

NCAA punishes lying and obfuscation very harshly. They don't have the tools to dig like the FBI, so they have to make lying very high risk.
