According to Cowherd, the B1G didn't want to get sued by TCUN so they "settled" for the exact punishment they levied in the first place, which TCUN threatened to challenge in court.

Yeah, that makes sense.

Yeah, TCUN made such a big deal about the B1G "dropping their investigation," but the B1G was never actually investigating - the NCAA basically came to them with a bunch of info, and said "do with this what you will." And the 13 other schools were like WTF, do something. That's why the "wait for the NCAA" due process crap never held water. The NCAA is who provided sufficient evidence anyway, the B1G just looked on youtube and confirmed, lol.

I do want to give a shout out to the idea of being fair to the kids.

When the selection committee picks their four teams a fifth team will be left out.

That fifth team is also made up of kids who got there without cheating.
