The Big Ten rules are very black and white and more than sufficient. Scum is choosing to ignore them. The due process defense is absolute bullshit.

Oh I agree… it’s just they’ve never had to do this before and frankly I don’t think I can ever remember a school pushing back as hard as this.

As it was said. The best thing that came from this in terms of the big ten was all the vitriol that Michigan put out there. How in your face they were, how dumb they played and how nasty they fought.

They will be given no quarters when the toll comes due.

Have faith. These things never go as quick as you’d hope.
It’s not the timing that concerns me

I’m the guy who warned against treating the absence of news as news

The thing that bothers me is the news that’s leaking out

I don’t think the leaks are random

I think they are either trial balloons, or worse, they are being put out so that people will think, “at least it wasn’t as weak as what Rittenberg said”

I’d love to be misreading this. It wouldn’t be the first time

You know after looking at the leak closer….

Having a “significant” fine would need approval by the league. He can only do 10k by himself so could that update mean he is considering a significant fine along with a suspension?

I can’t think that the board of the Big Ten would agree to a fine only. There is no way that they will except that.

It could be that is a leak of the "offer" scUM made to sweep this one away.

Dude, at this point, I would fully expect Harbaugh and any other coaches suspended to just show up anyways. And they'd do it with Ono's full public backing. What's Petitty going to do? Send in the Pinkertons?
I honestly and I’m not joking. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did that too.

Overall, I think the biggest mistake was Michigan State agreeing to play the game anyways. If they would have decided to hold out of that game, I think Purdue probably does the same as well and then Michigan would have been forced to be dealt with.

I still say he is waiting for the courts to close preventing Michigan from filing an injunction before the State Penn game.
I'm hoping for the TRO. Then the B1G can move to have it transferred to Federal Court, and have discovery and subpoena power.
No, I'm not an attorney, but I watched a lot of Perry Mason growing up and I've stayed in a bunch of Holiday Inn Expresses over the years.
