They have no defense so naturally the last ditch effort is a spin campaign to try to make themselves look like victims.
The B1G knew about this supposed "earth shattering bombshell" and carried on serving Michigan with notice of coming punishment anyways. Meaning it's not as earth shattering as they thought it would be.

My brother was like that, even when we were kids. Master manipulation tactics used to distort reality and to make the accuser(s) feel crazy.
Immaturity, selfishness and mental illness are FAR more rampant than we'd like to admit. Education levels aside, there are a lot of adults walking around who, mentally speaking, never grew up past high school.

Just listened. Perfect point that I don't think we've brought up, and that is that CMU should be Fredo dead to Sparty. No pay games. No basketball games. No hockey games. Nothing.
Also, I would like to know if we--and the legion of Jim Rockfords that we have on payroll--are looking into whether Akron('21) or Toledo ('22) had Stalions on their sideline. If so, those two poverty programs should definitely have seen their last days in The Shoe, The Schott or anywhere else, and that includes the academic/research table scraps that we throw to the MAC schools.

This stuff is hilarious, but I take it for what it's worth. It's just message board nonsense spout off by a bunch of foosball obsessed superfans. We had our share when Tressel and Urban's shit hit the fan. Simple Jim is Simple Jim. He's a toxic cocktail of low IQ, narcissism, Asperger's and CTE. I had no expectations for him.
Ono, however, is different. Whatever I thought about his antics and general weaselly character at UC, I figured that to get the UM job, there had to be some substance there. Sadly, I was completely wrong. He literally is acting no different than Deuce or Bacon or some guy on the internet who jacks off to a cardboard Jim.

Oh yea we did. But Michigan fan has taken it to a whole nother level with the Alex Jones esque "PSY OP!" type claims and shit like that. Every fan base has it's share of idiot behavior. But DFBIA constantly keeps proving why they are the dumbest.

Coaches share information. That can't even be called an open secret. It's an openly cited fact that has been published in the media annually before playoff games, bowls and big out of conference matchups.
Could this sharing amongst conference schools be considered a violation of the league's sportsmanship policy, as Larry Lage speculates they possibly could? I can think of hypothetical situations where it could rise to that level. If team A gives team B all of an opponents signs that were deciphered over the course of an entire game and this information isn't otherwise available to team B (on the all-22 or TV film for example), then without reading the B1G's sportsmanship policy, maybe there is a violation there.
That said, here are some of the many reasons I don't believe that this AP story has any merit:
-It was in conference, any deal like this is going to hurt your team as much as it helps if rules are broken. I.e., there is no honor among thieves.
-13 coaches and 13 ADs went on record stating that tCun should be swiftly punished for their actions. Hard to believe that they would push so hard if they were openly cheating. Not only openly cheating but at the mercy of both the honor and competence of all of their co-conspirators not to spill the beans.
-Like others had said, this didn't stop the B1G from handing down notice of potential punishment today.
