How many times has that happened in 2 years? Once to TCU, and once against.... was it Georgia in 2021?
Instead of waiting for them to lose the games they should lose, how about someone just beat them?
It feels like karma is ready to revert to the mean for their team in a big way at some point… they’ve sown the seeds of bitching out of the 2020 game and keeping their incredibly caustic coach around (who would have been fired after the ass beating they ducked). Literally quitting instead of taking an ass beating completely flipped the momentum in the series, and I’m no expert, but that cowardice should stop being rewarded karmic-ly at some point, right?

Add to that the fact they have stacked years of mediocre to outright bad recruiting on top of each other, throw in the insufferable arrogance that permeates everything they do, and them lucking the fuck out (thanks mostly to dearest brother in Baltimore) on their coaching hires for several years, and a head coach who absolutely debases himself and undermines the program every offseason desperately grasping for an NFL job, and despite all that have had two of their most successful seasons in decades.

All of that shit has to come home to roost at some point, right? May it be soon.

Sadly they ended up benefiting from that 2020 year and the extra eligibility it gave players. It allowed them to stock pile 4-6 year guys the past couple of seasons.

Most of that positive effect that gave is gone after this season though. Next year will be the big test for them. They'll be relying on a lot of younger lower rated recruits, not guys who've had the benefit of being around 5/6 years.

I meant in the karmic sense of sowing seeds, not the practical sense of how it impacted their team literally, which has unfortunately worked out great for them.

It's behind a pay wall, but the first paragraph tells a lot. Ono is already setting about to create his cult of personality up there. He is not a good guy. I just wonder how long the massive institutional ego up there will cotton to his personal cult of personality.

Adore dear leader or else!

Celebrate him in poem and song lest ye be cast out of the kingdom.

Abigail McFee, a fellow in poetry in the University of Michigan’s M.F.A. program, was asked to write a poem for the inauguration of the University of Michigan’s new president, Santa Ono, celebrated on March 7 this year. She suggested “a poem about my single mother returning to college in her 40s as a nontraditional student.” The Office of University Development was unhappy: “We feel,” they told McFee by email, “that this poem should be written in honor of the president’s inauguration day, or rather, in celebration of the president … a gift to him.”

Development is a cliché machine, and its poetic sensibilities are, unsurprisingly, excruciating: “key words that might help — Michigan, he is of the people, he has been working hard to learn about campus, new beginnings, dawn of a new day, new energy on campus, uplifting.” They added, mercifully, that “the poem need not be long.” McFee, a poet of honor, declined.

With the perfect storm of Ono, McFuckFace, and the DFBIA, I half expect to wake up one morning, pour myself a nice cup of coffee, pull up the news, and see a headline about a bunch of dead people in Ann Arbor being found lying peaceably in matching TSUN sweatshirts and Nike sneakers.

That'd be a damn shame.

LOL

that was my strategy in NCAA for the playstation.....because these weren't real people. I still felt bad about it. seeing Harbaugh doing the same thing is pretty on brand.

My goal was to always run up the scores with massive stats. Start a 2nd string RB against MAC cupcakes and the likes of Indiana.
Keep the star RB in low 1000s while the backup has 1500+. And get the "next star" ~500 to keep him happy.

Turn the skill positions into a veritable factory where half of them would go pro every year.

Oline, QB, and DTs were the only positions id try to talk out of leaving.

In other news, fuck michigan
