Just had another thought (I know, shut up already)

When the Porn Name/CMU/MSU photos showed up last night/this morning, Brian at mgoblog and Chris Balas quickly confirmed it was Porn Name. Since both are Jim Harbaugh mouthpieces, it would make sense to that Harbaugh knew the details and told them.

What is an odd is based on her response today it doesn't appear that CMU AD Amy Folan was informed.

That would mean

1) Harbaugh knew this information and did not tell Ward Manuel OR

2) Harbaugh did tell Manuel, he did not tell Folan. OR

3) Harbaugh and Manuel tried to sweep this under the rug

All three are not good and Folan is not going to looking to do SCUM any favors

What if Stalions was rogue? He out there gathering all this intel and getting in on plays to make them think he's a defensive coaching prodigy hoping he can get promoted to HC at some point?

But..there is no way Hairball never knew him and didn't know all this was going on, he even denied knowing about it at all up to yesterday.

Wouldn't matter. He was on TTUN's payroll and on the sideline on game day. Whatever he was doing is on them.

If he was rogue, they would still have to question how he had laminated sheets with all signals before every game.

Considering the info he gathered was being used by scUM there is NO WAY he was rogue, the coaches 100% had to know what was going on. Why would they suddenly just start taking serious advice from the weirdo manifesto staffer guy? The "rogue staffer!" theory makes zero logical sense.

Stalions can be an obsessed fan, a rogue staffer, and the mastermind of the sign stealing scheme all at the same time.

I imagine that several tCun staff members remained willfully ignorant of how Stalions obtained their opponent's signals.

Yep. At MINIMUM they knew but ignored it the best they could. No way a coaching staff is using some random staffers info unless they are sure it was actually very good info.

Yes, I think this is possible that very little people knew and others just kept her mouth shut. They knew the information was good and they did not want to see that go away, so they just didn’t care where the Intel came from. I think that’s what you are seeing in part with this contract extension nonsense. he feels he himself did nothing wrong and he’s looking at a slap on the wrist for that Baylor coach thinking they’ll get some thing similar if that.

The problem is with how big this is, and how many games it effected. If it’s all true, I don’t know how they could possibly find a loophole for this or figure out a way to not get slammed.

Yeah, using the information for me is where it crosses the biggest line for the entire program. Obviously, why else would you collect information but the fact that they allowed this guy to do this and then to benefit is wild. It’s even more wild however to think you can just put everything on this kid while you benefited from the scheme the most.

And if they throw Stallions under the bus, how is he going to take it? The guy has an apparent lifelong obsession with UM football. Will he feel betrayed and then blow the whistle on the whole affair?
