Stapleton Issues Statement Ripping JUB

Submitted by BursleyHall82 on October 26th, 2023 at 3:17 PM
Jim Stapleton, identified by John U. Bacon as the source of the leaks, just sent a statement to Jamie Morris that they read on WTKA. He ripped Bacon, said he’s going to sue him, and said Bacon is wrong about him leaking the story.

Not directed at you.

Who the fuck cares if it’s true… all that is needed is for someone to believe it to be true. And I don’t think anyone is picky, could be a Vol or could be someone in Vegas…
Who knows, but there were the posts on Vol Nation LAST DECEMBER where a guy was describing how his friend had been scouting for UM. Described it exactly as we are learning they did it.

Holy. Fuck.

That's funny, because I'm pretty sure I have the all-22 from the Vols vs Scar in 2021. Would have to double check if 2022 is available. It would be interesting to see what all different the GameCocks did on offense from year to year.

In 2021, SCar scored against conference opponents

More than 30 points - once (Florida)
More than 21 points - Once
21 points or fewer - six time

In 2022, against those same conference opponents from the previous season.

They scored 30 - once (against the Aggies)
Score 24 or fewer against the rest
Got boat raced by Florida and Georgia

Drop a 60 bomb on UT

Previous to that, dating back to 2015, the most SC had scored on a conference opponent was 48 vs Ole Miss in 2018.
Ole Miss was 114th in opponent points surrendered that season and gave up 40+ in 3 other games.

So Ole Miss was about in line for how their season went in 2018. SC, for how their offense went in 2022? Not even close.

Boots already on the ground.

I think the NCAA is using their power to investigate and then hand it over to the Big Ten so the punishment can take place sooner than the NCAA rules will allow. Michigan would have 90 days to respond to the NCAA for any infractions the NCAA finds. The Big Ten doesn't have those rules. They can act quicker.

That's the only thing that makes sense, right? If the outside form was not hired by scUM, why were they in scUM's computer systems? It means they shouldn't have been and scUM would be raising hell right now that they were hacked.

Jbook makes sense here too.

Why would people associated with the University be just talking to a random outside firm unless they were made to by the University

If they messed with the SEC they better look out. Some of those crazy motherfucker boosters might order a visit from some less than savory people
given that it was Tennessee they mighta fucked over.... I'm picturing a visit from the "dueling banjo's" crowd...
