Top 16 in each region move onto the playoffs, traditional 1 v 16, etc. style

Main thing I'm watching/hoping for is a Massillon vs Hoban D2 title game....Massillon will likely be dealing with some suspensions after the handshake line fight w/ McKinley on Friday

St. Ed's the prohibitive D1 favorite
D3 has a ton of threats, if I had to pick now I'd go Toledo Central Catholic

I could go into detail on each division but usually a bit easier after the first couple weeks and the field thins down. Hope you all make it to a game - should have good weather for the weekend, best time of the year!
 
Some updates from Night 1 for D1

St. Ignatius is 3-8 this year....unfortunately, 2 of those 3 wins came against Mentor....woof
Another 12/5 upset with Springfield (two years runner up, 4 years Final 4) upsetting Huber Heights Wayne
Olentangy Liberty upsets Findlay for a 14 over a 3

Next week we get some big games like McKinley vs Ignatius, Pickerington North vs Hilliard Darby, St. X vs Moeller, Elder vs Lakota West

D2 - 10 seed Watkins over 7th seeded Indepdence...

For some weird reason, anyone who beat Walnut Ridge in D2 Region 7 got a huge boost in their ratings, so seeds 5, 7 and 8 were city league teams.

We're shaping up for a likely Cleveland Hts vs St. Ed's R1 Final in a couple of weeks. Medina pulled a tiny upset over rival Wadsworth
Springfield does it again....they are the Miami Heat of the playoffs. They pull the 12/4 upset over Centerville and get #1 Olentangy next week

Mason shocks Milford, 10-9, and gets the 9 over 1 upset!
Moeller over St. X, 10-7, so we'll get Mason vs Moeller next week

Chalk in R6 outside of a 5/4 Olmsted Falls over Sylvania Southview

Harrison gets the 5/4....D2 sure has been steady as she goes

Chardon tops Geneva for the 7/2 upset
Buckeye also gets the 7/2 upset over Norton, 49-47
London also meets the same 7/2 fate as they lose to Bellefontaine
Upset of the division was Celina over Trotwood-Madison, 41-35, for a 6/3 but not sure many had Trotwood going down here

West Branch defeats Streetsboro 31-28, and this was a 4 over a 5 but again, Streetsboro was the favorite here
Struthers with the 6/3 upset over Poland Seminary
Glenville and Shelby advance to play each other next week in what should be a high scoring affair
Indian Valley with the 13/5 upset over Bishop Ready, 34-13...they get the Big Red next week
Clinton Massie barely survives, 24-23, in OT over Archbishop McNicholas
Shawnee with the 7/15 over Urbana and Wyoming with the 6/3 over Taft has a rare 7/6 regional semi

Minster gets Marion Local next week, and they only lost to them earlier this year 42-7....

Not at all - there are so many games at this point I try to hit the upsets for probably another week until it is a bit more manageable.

Some great matchups next week, the below are my tops for each division...also, we switch to neutral sites starting next weekend.

D1: Olentangy vs Springfield
D2: Withrow vs Troy
D3: Toledo Central Catholic vs Mansfield
D4: Clinton-Massie vs Archbishop Alter
D5: Oak Harbor vs Liberty Center
D6: Versailles vs Cincinnati Country Day
D7: Marion Local vs Minster.....may God have mercy on their souls

Those are some amazing matchups! Do you know where sites usually are for neutral games. I’d like to catch a game in the Cincinnati (preferably)- Dayton area.

OHSAA will announce locations later today, so I'll make sure to link once they do.
Also, all games will still be on Friday at 7PM. I think, but not positive, they'll switch to Fri/Sat starting next round.
All finals will be held in Canton again for the third straight year - great venue if you can make it.

Anderson/Harrison was my runner-up, but Withrow vs Troy is a legit Final 4 quality game, which I'm sure I've now jinxed it and it will be a blow out.
