I was going to ask. How do people actually feel about this tournament and Final Four?
I love to hate on the bluebloods as much as anybody but it does feel lacking. And I think as wide open and unpredictable as this was- it really shows that March Madness does not crown the best team in the country all the time (or even most of the time?).
I think most people knew that but it is really driven home when you look at what made the final group. Upsets are fun but I like sports to feel like they crown worthy champions.
UConn definitely has an argument for being the best, but them beating SDSU or FAU in a championship game? Bleh.
I don't gamble - any look at my history of vbets here or pick 'em leagues would tell you why.
Ohio State wasn't in it. The teams I detest (Dook, UNC, Kansas) all lost early or weren't in it at all.
There were several very entertaining games that seemed to really develop out of nowhere.
And finally, the sports media is whining and crying about it, which warms the cockles of my heart. Why? Because fuck the sports media, that's why.
I'm all for chaos given everything above, and this year absolutely delivered.
