2023 College Football Polls

We are as good of a choice for #1 as anyone else. All of the undefeated teams have laid a couple of duds so far this year other than tCun, who has played an absolutley dogshit scheduled thus far*. I honestly felt they have UGA too high if we are just basing it off of thier stated criteria. I personally have no issue with the two-time defending champs getting some love, but the committee isn’t supposed to take that into account.

*Obviously the fucks up north should be totally excluded, but the above is based on the playoff committee’s current ‘head in the sand’ policy on the cheating matter.

We’ve handled business and our defense has more than been adequate to not need luck. The only game we got lucky is ND when Freeman decided to stop running the ball and work the clock.
a screen pass in that scenario is perfectly fine. just don't run it towards JT in the 4th quarter of a game.

they needed lots of yards to officially end the game, he did the safest play that could also gain those yards. it's not like he chucked it deep on first down.

How? Does any team in America have the following resume:

1). Zero Losses
2). Wins over teams the quality of PSU and Notre Dame

Nobody. This was entirely predictable and deserved.

Washington deserves to be pissed.
I had my 4 as:

Ohio State
Florida State
Washington
UGA

Michigan
Oregon
eh. it ignores the fact that Georgia or FSU or Washington would also have beat PSU and ND. probably worse than we did. I hate that rEsUmE plays that big of a role in the decision, when the other teams just haven't been given the opportunity to do it also.

tCun could have given themselves an ‘opportunity’ by scheduling their non-conference opponents to include somebody besides East Carolina, UNLV, and Bowling Green.

Maybe UGA but Florida State barely beat bad Boston College and Clemson teams. Washington struggled big time with Arizona, Arizona State & Stanford. I don't get this narrative that FSU and Washington are some dominant forces.

Also cracks me up that "Notre Dame and Penn State are OBVIOUSLY OVERRATED!"

But we are supposed to pretend LSU is great. A team with zero defense that has lost to the only 2 good teams theyve played (sorry not buying Mizzou is some great team) and needed a last second FG to beat a god awful Arkansas team at home.

Is it Ohio State's fault that Michigan and Georgia chose the ooc games they wanted? And he who wins the ACC in football is forgotten at the first tip off.

Georgia had a game scheduled at Oklahoma this season, which after Oklahoma joined the SEC as of 2024, got cancelled by the SEC and they played Ball State instead. So they had tried, unlike tCun.

I generally trust Kirby in 99.999999% of everything he does because why wouldn't I?
But I would have made a bigger stink about this if I was him. The strong rumors circulating is that he capitulated to the league office in hopes of securing a future schedule that was more favorable to the team.

in 2024, he was rewarded with:

At Bama
At Texas
At Ole Miss

Squeaky Wheel gets the grease. Back to Back champs should be squeaking more.
