Interesting on the SEC odds. Not sure I buy it, but both teams have had a large range of strength of performances this year.

If that does happen, it’s potentially going to be a very interesting sendoff for the 4-team format.

Bama and B1G Champ are locks. Then for final two spots you could have:

12-1 TX
12-1 UGA
11-1 B1G nonchamp
12-1 Oregon or 13-0 UW

And FSU’s in the mix if they go undefeated.

So the position of the committee was that it is not their business to get involved in the rumors surrounding Michigan. They just evaluate teams based on their performance on the field.

Now we have a conference penalizing one of it's own members for cheating in their first 7 games. Games played on the field with an unfair competitive advantage.

How do they not react to that?

This isn't an ongoing investigation. They have been found guilty by their own conference. And with evidence provided by the NCAA.

The B1G didn't say those games should count. They simply didn't have the authority to do more than they did.

They're going to ignore it because tsun will be a ratings magnet.

I fully expect us to be #2 this week behind Georgia. Don't really bother me because if we win in two weeks all will be right again.

Yep.
Besides, the CFP committee has shown that one week's rankings have no effect on the following's week's rankings.
You're right, though. win in 2 weeks. That's the only game that matters at this point.

I think the one this Saturday kind of matters. Losing at home to Minnesota would be an unforgivable sin.

Fair enough. But after losing to the cheaters, I'm all in for beating them. Big Ten championship, playoffs, national championship - they don't interest me as much as beating the cheaters. But you're right - losing to Minnesota will probably be unforgiveable as far as the playoffs/national championship go.
