2023 College Football Polls

In a down yesr with a lot unknowns among the usual suspects... Washington looks like the best team so far.
Not the greatest competition, and their schedule is very back loaded.... but they have just dismantled everyone so far.
Penix has been on fire.

... and back to the point that "dont lose" only applies to everyone outside the SEC.
If Bama had to play us that year, im not sure they do win it all.
I don’t disagree we had a great team and it is unfortunate. Bama smacked MSU, who beat us, 38-0. You’re not going to have 0 SEC teams and 2 BIG teams that includes a 1 loss team when there’s a 1 loss SEC team. That might just restart the civil war

People keep saying polls don't matter but if assholes keep OSU at like 10 the entire season win or lose, it will matter in the end...

That's the only way the system fails - take the largest fanbase out of it. It's driven by TV ratings. If Ohio State is 12-0 at the end of the year, they'll be there. Last year proved they can get there at 11-1.

So he says all that... and then still ranks them 6, behind several teams he just discussed as struggling more.
So he doesn't believe his own words.

And Bucks aside... bc i dont really care... if we handle business in AA, we're good. Even if we need to learn a lesson before then.

... i find it hard to take anyone seriously ranking UW that low.
They strangely look like the class of CFB right now. i got no faith in USC defense. scUM doesn't look as good as last year and had no shot against an easy win in TCU.
Texas win over Bama suddenly looks a lot less impressive.
If i go down his list, id rank it Georgia, Washington, and then a coin flip for Bucks, Irish, and Texas

My $.02 - It's Texas, FSU, (Winner of ND/OSU Game), UWash and UGA.

Georgia is obviously being given the benefit of the doubt because a different team with a different QB and a bunch of guys now playing on Sundays won back-to-back. However, they also have showed this past Saturday that they may have some of that “fuck around and find out” mentality that those early 2000s Miami teams had where they could play like hot garbage for a half against a Big East basement dweller, go to the locker room and hear a Come to Jesus motivational speech from a Senior Captain, then bury you with a 28 point outburst in the 3rd Q because the roster is loaded.

I’m fine with Georgia holding the #1 coming out of that South Carolina game. I think FSU is the clear #2 after that LSU game. But when you get into the weeds of Texas and Michigan and how they’ve looked, particularly in light of the fact Alabama may not be great, I guess I’m fine with Klatt saying you’ve got a group of teams from 3-11 that you may as well draw names from a hat.

Week 4 is when OSU will earn their seat at the table. Nothing is any different today than it was before the season kicked off. We all knew the ND game was the test, and it’s pass/fail.
