The AP and Coaches poll are also not controlled by the ncaa, USC still can’t fly their latest flag even though they still came in 1st in those polls. NCAA doesn’t control the bowls either. Maybe USC could hang 2004 orange bowl winner banners? Or did the orange bowl come out separately to have them vacate the win. It’s all semantics. I would be shocked if the CFP didn’t follow suit of what the ncaa does. I mean who even makes that call, I doubt they have a mechanism for cheating.

UCF unveiled a natty banner from that 2017 season.

So at this point, anyone can pretty much seemingly do anything.
