I guess this can be said now that it's been so many years, but the reason Elizabeth wasn't able to do any tricks was from the incredible pounding she took from me the night before. She was so sore she could barely walk. In fact, it was all she could do to get a towel to wipe off her face and get me a beer. It was actually quite an accomplishment that she competed at all.

Russians massively choked away a gold medal in the Biathlon relay. Dude had a huge lead going into the last round of shooting and missed his first four shots, had to do two penalty laps and ended up third. Putin is going to have his balls cut off and shoved into his mouth.

I haven't watched a moment of the Olympics for the first time. If the Olympic Committee cannot disqualify an obvious cheater because of her age, then it really isn't the Olympics anymore for me.

What a choke from the men’s hockey team. Up 2-1 with 3 Powerplays in the 3rd period. Barely get any shots on net. Give up a tying goal with 44 seconds. Fail to convert any chances in 10 minutes of 3-on-3 OT. And then go 0-5 in the shooting (where Slovakia only went 1-4).

Interesting to see if the tsun has those players back this weekend. They'll certainly be suited up in South Bend when we're (hopefully) looking to get some help from the domers.

Be rooting hard this weekend for the pedsters to come out soap battling in the Pegula Showers and ruin Gopher's weekend.
