I'm pretty sure that they are happier with their 2-loss season and getting shit on in the playoffs than Ohio State fans are with 1-loss 2006, when Ohio State got shit on by Florida or 2020, when Ohio State won the first round of playoffs before getting smoked by Alabama in the championship game. I think they know that this is the closest they came to winning a championship since 1997, and it's only going to be a downward slope from here. Harbaugh thinks he can fool people into keeping their spirits high. Or else he's been duped, too.

Disagree. Their smug arrogance and sense of superiority is absolutely real, and they absolutely believe that last year is the beginning of some dynastic run. These are the greatest fart smellers in all of sports.

Actually, ha - I don't know what I was thinking. Did I forget what the "D" in "DFBIA" was for? Sheesh.

The JJ McCarthy Situation

Rumors are swirling about JJ McCarthy's availability as Michigan nears the halfway point of spring football.

Many Michigan fans are ready for the JJ McCarthy era to start in Ann Arbor and assume that it will this fall. However, rumors recently began to swirl that McCarthy's march to the top of the depth chart has been put on hold due to a shoulder injury.

Per a source close to the program, McCarthy has been dealing with something since before the Orange Bowl against Georgia. He was able to manage the discomfort during the playoff game and obviously had a pretty good outing. The freshman went 7-of-17 for 131 yards and a score and also carried the ball four times for 24 yards in the last game of the season.

Him being able to play in that game indicates that the injury isn't season-ending serious, but recent developments indicate that he's being kept on ice throughout spring ball. We know he can throw the ball — we witnessed it during our sit-down interview with him — but uncorking it all day long during spring practice is a different story. In order to prevent any further injury, he's taking it easy.

Rumors started popping up about imminent surgery, but we've learned that no such procedure is guaranteed. Surgery has been discussed, but nothing is scheduled and going under the knife is not a certainty at this time.

Just sayin': Apparently there's no QB controversy at scUM yet, McNamara is still QB1 as McCarthy isn't 100% healthy.

So I didn't watch much of the game. But I know *ichigan did a bit better than I thought they would. But how is 7 for 17 for 131 and 4 carries for 24 considered a "pretty good outing"?

That was compared to McNamara; 11/19, 106 yards, 7.7 ave., 0 TD, 2 INTs, and a QBR of 42.1. Besides at scUM the bar is pretty low..........

Michigan football quarterback J.J. McCarthy is giving back this spring to those who protect him from some of college football's fiercest pass rushers. McCarthy, who has signed several name, image and likeness partnerships, will hand over all profits from personalized jersey sales this year to his offensive line, an admirable move for a player competing for Michigan's starting job with Cade McNamara this season. Players are paid based on a percentage of sales for uniforms bearing their specific name and number under new NIL guidelines.

"A little announcement, GO BUY McCarthy Jerseys from the MDen!!!Because… For every dollar I make from the jersey sales will be distributed to the true heroes, my offensive line," McCarthy tweeted this week with a link to his jerseys.

Just sayin': Since he sucks, each offensive linemen will probably get around.......
